The Resilient Rho Theta Zeta Chapter

Rho Theta Zeta Chapter of Kalamazoo and Portage, Michigan was chartered on April 19, 1999. The following are charter members of Rho Theta Zeta: Keisha Barksdale, Ondraya Dixon, Renita Ellis, Bridgett Gibson, Joan Harris, Kelley Kellis, Peggy McKnight, Sheila Parkman, Monique (Ligons) Terry and Hillary Williams

Today, Rho Theta Zeta Chapter is home to a diverse group of college-educated, professional and executive women dedicated to promoting the ideals of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood, while working to improve the lives of men, women, children and seniors through Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel). Our chapter continues to provide members with opportunities to gain valuable knowledge, experience and the confidence needed to become responsible decision-makers and leaders who will continue to be positive forces for change in our communities.

Since its chartering, our chapter has only grown  in the depth of service provided in the Portage and Kalamazoo communities. Our members volunteer, support and donate to various charitable organizations, including the March of Dimes, Heritage Community of Kalamazoo and countless others, etc.

The chapter’s commitment to scholarship is far-reaching and long-standing as we endeavor to change women’s lives through leadership and education, thus, strengthening colleges and communities.
